Distance Learning Courses (GCSE & A-Level)
Distance Learning Courses (GCSE & A-Level)
Students attending distance learning courses are taught in small groups, where they learn the entire specification. To enhance learners ability to solve problems, the focus of these courses is at students learning the concept and its application. To achieve the aims and objectives of these courses students are taught the concept and then exposed to the carefully selected past exam questions.
At the end of each topic all students complete an end of topic assessment. In addition to the end of topic assessments students also complete two mock exams one in December and another in April. The outcome is used to support each student according to their needs to ensure they reach their full potential.
On completion of the course students start working on past papers. During this time the focus is to recall the learned concepts and link them together to solve more complicted problems.
A-Level science courses have two aspects. Content learning and developing practical skills. All students are given the opportunity to complete the practical work required to gain pass on practical endorsement component of the course. All practical work is conducted at the state of art lab facility at our centre in Birmingham.
For these courses, each year we have two intakes regular and fast-tracked. Courses offered in each intake are guaranteed course completion and are taught by qualified teachers.
Regular Intake (September - June)
Our regular intake courses are mainly designed for independent/private students (home-schooling); however, traditional school students are also welcome to apply. All offered courses run from September to June. All sections are taught in detail.
Fast-tracked Intake (January - June)
Our fast-tracked intake is mainly designed for regular school students. All offered courses run from January to June. All sections are taught, emphasising learning the key concepts and their application. Since students already have some knowledge of the subject, these courses are taught at a slightly higher pace.
